Abstract
There were difference of opinion as to the optimal treatment of burned hands, apparently caused by the experiences of some authers with special kinds of burns, under particular conditions or during a certain phase of the burn wound.

For many reasons, the hand should be given priority over most other parts of the body in the overall management of burned patient. The burns of hand may result in great disability, and economic disaster for the victim without early agressive treatment. To prevent these disabilities, several authers have proposed tangential excision of the burned hand at early period, with immediate skin grafting.

We report that we have experienced four cases of tangential excision, and early skin grafting on the burned hand during the last three years.
